The Bar Speculant

Shaped like a ship´s hull with a dominant bow and the two beer pumps resembling a capstan the bar with. lamps, chairs and sails that cover the ceiling will give you that ‘cruising feeling’.
The name SPECULANT is borrowed from the last steam tug on the river Rhine. This boat, preserved in its original form was renamed PIETER BOELE, is now moored in Dordrecht, Netherlands and is a regular visitor at steam engine shows.
 She received a rousing welcome when returning to Koblenz in 1997 for the Steam Spectacle at the Deutsches Eck
Sailing as the SPECULANT she made regular trips through the Middle Rhine Valley towing heavy freight ,stopping at Koblenz to refuel and take on fresh water.
